ABOUT THE LAWRENCE HOME NURSING TEAM
The Lawrence Home Nursing Team was established in May 1999, in memory of Dr Martin Lawrence, who was a GP in Chipping Norton for 25 years and was himself diagnosed with a terminal illness. During the last few weeks of his life he was cared for at home with extensive nursing and medical support. It was his wish that other patients choosing to remain at home would have the benefit of this type of support to complement existing services. The Lawrence Home Nursing Team aims to provide skilled care and support to the terminally ill who wish to remain at home.
The service will be available to anyone living in Chipping Norton and the surrounding area.
We will work in close partnership with patients, their families, GPs, Community Nurses, Community Hospitals, Hospices, the Marie Curie and Macmillan nursing services.
