‘Santa over Bliss Mill’ and ‘Christmas Stag’ by Anne Nicholls.
Anne took up painting aged 60, to express her feelings about suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She enjoys working in all media and was commissioned by Lawrence Home Nursing Team to create ‘Santa Over Bliss Mill’. Anne has exhibited at various shows in the West Midlands and at Novacon 45. There are more images of her work on Facebook at ANArt or her website www.annenichollsart.co.uk
‘Braving the Snow’, ‘In A Flap’ and ‘Winter Hare', sponsored by DustScan AQ, by Ronny Loxton.
Ronnie is a self taught artist who was originally inspired by the African landscapes during her gap year. Life as a farmer’s wife and mother to three adventurous boys meant her painting career was on hold until the last 10 years. Based in rural North Oxfordshire Ronnie’s subjects of birds, animals and rural landscapes are depicted mainly in watercolour or acrylic. Once a year in May, during Oxfordshire Artweeks, Ronnie holds a solo exhibition in the historic Tithe Barn in Swalcliffe, but her work can also be seen on her website www.ronnyloxton.com
Three Wise Men’ by Josephine Trotter.
Josephine is currently most engaged by landscape painting and is greatly influenced by the rolling Oxfordshire countryside that surrounds her, though also inspired by more dramatic landscapes in the north of England. Throughout her long career she has also painted portraits and still -lifes and this card reflecting a 15th Century carved panel fully demonstrates her skill with subtle colours and draughtsmanship. Other examples of Josephine’s work can be seen on her website www.josephinetrotter.com.
