ALD has left the crease in the peaceful and modest way in which he always lived. Aussie rules star, cricketing legend, Rhodes Scholar, much loved housemaster, husband to Jen for 68 years and the very best of fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers, we are so proud of the wonderful footprint he has left on this world.
The Lawrence Trust Home Nursing Team has been a truly wonderful part of his last days. They are a small local team of angels who made a massively positive difference to all of us – especially the much-loved Mrs Jen Dowding.
